Madison joined the OCO in September 2020 and serves as the Assistant Corrections Ombuds of Policy and a member of the Unexpected Fatality Review Committee. She works not only on policy but also investigates cases involving staff conduct, infractions, uses of force, and solitary confinement. Madison is a dedicated legal professional and advocate with a strong background in criminal justice reform, appellate advocacy, and public service. A graduate of the Seattle University School of Law, she served as an editor for the American Indian Law Journal and earned recognition in multiple regional and national ABA appellate advocacy competitions. Throughout law school, Madison worked extensively in criminal defense, clemency and pardons, juvenile defense and post-conviction advocacy demonstrating her deep commitment to justice, rehabilitation and protecting the rights of vulnerable populations.
