What we do
The Office of the Corrections Ombuds is the civilian oversight of corrections in Washington state government, and a respected leader in strengthening procedures and practices that lessen the possibility of actions occurring within the DOC that would negatively impact the health, safety, welfare, and rehabilitation of incarcerated persons, and reduce the exposure of the DOC to litigation.
