Good Afternoon,
I am very happy to share with you the news that Governor Inslee just announced the appointment of Caitlin Robertson, PhD, as the new OCO director. Attached is the press release from the Governor's Office announcing the appointment today.
Most of you know Caitlin as she has been a Lead Assistant Ombuds with the OCO. Caitlin brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to her leadership of this office. We are very excited to welcome Caitlin into this new role. Caitlin will be assuming the role of director as of June 1, 2022.
It has been a privilege to be in this office over the last few months. I've appreciated the opportunity to work with the dedicated staff of the OCO, the incarcerated individuals and their loved ones, and the DOC on very important issues related to incarcerated individuals and their families. We have made great progress over these past few months and I am very confident this work will continue under Caitlin's leadership.
Best,
Sonja Hallum
Interim Director
